The app can be used to monitor any custom location added by the user, so this could serve as an app monitor, checking for changes in folders or registry locations. Defender is tagging this as a virus/pup likely because its invasive monitoring is triggering something. I can assure you there are no viruses in this software and it is 100% clean.
