Initial screens pop up frequently

Hi,
I have symenu in a folder called C:\programs\_SyMenu\. The application works perfectly except for a strange thing, about once a week SyMenu when launched will run through the initial setup windows like it's the first time being run (language, menu layout, etc). The applications and their layout stay intact, only the initial screens get reset.
Just wondering if this is a known issue, or possibly something I am doing wrong.
